I found Ian when contacting the Bluegrass Bimmers chapter looking for someone to do an SMG to manual conversion on my E46 M3 Convertible. I normally do all my own work and have serviced my car from a differential gearing change, subframe reinforcement, rod bearing maintenance, and SMG pump rebuilding to name a few. I found Ian to be extremely knowledgeable, even educating me on some of the finer technical aspects of coding on the SMG system on my BMW E46 M3. He provided me a detailed quote of parts required, sourced the best price, and provided me his service availability. During the conversion he kept me informed on progress, even keeping me in the loop on shipping issues with lost parts. He even used the wiring harness out of his own vehicle when the 3rd part that was shipped was found to be defective. I can’t say enough on his work, he is top notch and very detailed. I will refer my contacts to him for any repair they would have. I have put nearly 300 miles on since the conversion a few days ago including some aggressive shifting, and it’s flawless.
